Thompson to Announce Illegal Immigration Policy

Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson on Tuesday plans to announce an immigration policy that will include stripping federal grant money from cities and states that don't report illegal immigrants.

Thompson chose Collier County, which has a large farmworker population, for his announcement and plans to meet with the county's sheriff, Don Hunter, before announcing details of his border security and immigration enforcement proposal.

A major part of the plan will be to reduce the number of illegal immigrants by increasing enforcement of existing law. Sanctuary cities, where city employees are not required to report illegal immigrants to federal authorities, would lose discretionary federal grants, said a campaign source who didn't want to be named because the plan hasn't been announced.

Thompson, a former Tennessee senator, will also call for stronger laws to force employers to verify that workers aren't illegal immigrants, a more rigorous system to track who is coming in and out of the country and a plan to increase prosecution of "coyotes," smugglers who bring illegal immigrants across the Mexican border, the source said. He will also talk about border security.

At a campaign stop in Georgia last week, Thompson accused rivals Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani of being soft on illegal immigration when Romney was Massachusetts' governor and Giuliani was New York's mayor.

Romney and Giuliani have also called for tougher immigration enforcement and opposed an immigration bill that failed earlier this year which would have provided a path to citizenship for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the country. Arizona Sen. John McCain supported the legislation.

Collier County has vast tomato farms that hire thousands of immigrants. Last year it was part of a two-county sweep with 163 illegal immigrants arrested in one weekend. The campaign plans to cite figures that 22 percent of the county's crime is committed by illegal immigrants and that 40 percent of county's arrest warrants are for illegal immigrants.

I guess the judges in Oregon have lost any level of logic. They have let the sue happy crowd get away with it again, this time blaming the previous owner of a vehicle for not properly maintaining his truck he sold a year before hand. Of course the current owner had an accident because of a axle failure and, well, he can't take responsibility for it, he has to blame someone else. So lets blame the last guy, for not maintaining his truck that had over 500,000 miles on it.

This case should have been laughed out of court.

Is it really that amazing that a letter intended to silence Rush Limbaugh (which was a failure) would go for so much money when put up for charity by Rush himself. Well to me it isn't. I'd be surprised if it didn't. Rush has a powerful influence, and active listeners who believe what this man says. Manly because it's true. Truth is light in this dark world, and Rush doesn't let anyone cover up his light.

Then to try to top Rush, Harry Reid tries to take credit, TAKE CREDIT, for this letter. He intended it for harm, and Rush used it for good, and like the sleazy dirty rat he is, he tries to get apiece of the attention, as if he was apart of the good, by acting like he's a part of the whole thing. If Harry Reid wanted to impress me, or millions of others across America, all he had to do was match that $2,100,100, and Rush would have sang him praises. Unlike you giving Rush the credit he deserves in this, Rush would have let millions know your sacrifice. He's been calling for it all week, and thus far you have done nothing.

Match that donation Senator, or get all your other 40 Democrats that signed that letter together and put together the 2 Million. Show us you really do care. That would impress me. That would change my mind about you. That would actually let me know you are not the sleaze I believe you are.

I am amazed at how heartless so many people are about Abortion. On both sides! These are the women it hurts! What could have stopped her? So, so many things could have saved that babies life. We failed her, and we failed that child, because of our thoughts and feelings that judge these women, and pierce their soul. Yes, she sinned. And she sinned again to cover it up, so she would not be ashamed. But iy did not cover up anything. And it is destroying her. These are the women we need to embrace, and offer God's forgiveness, cause they can't forgive themselves. Someone else's life is never worth covering up a sin. Especially your own child.

A common theme I am seeing with most of this Media Matters ordeal is the idea that the left wants to return to a Pre-Reagan state of radio, where both views had to be presented on any media talk show. Most talks show wouldn't show either side for the fear of being fined or other legal action taken on them. Check out this transcript on Rush's Site which seems to point to the same as the VoteVets Spokesman lets the cat out of the bag, that it is not really what Rush said, but more about what all Rush believes, and and how influential he is. In other words, they don't agree with him, so they have to try and stop him.

So since the left has been so poor at getting their own Liberal network of radio, lets try to take down them all.

An example of how the liberals arguments can not stand up against common sense conservatism. They make consistent fools of themselves. and when they can't show you their ways, they want to squelch the ideals they disagree with from getting our to you. Cause you may actually start to realize how wrong they really are. They can't have that. They have to stop the "evils" of the conservative base of America. Well don't let them roll you over folks. Stand up and be proud to speak your mind, do not for a moment let the character assassins get you down, or fear you into submission. Speak your mind, and stand your ground.

Sheep, Rush, Phony Soldiers

I am daily amazed at how so many people are easy swayed by powerful influence to hate those that they see as a threat to their views or politics. I'm not sure why at this point in my life that I am still surprised, but here it is again now with this issue of Rush Limbaugh uttering the words "the phony soldiers".

Now more came after this, but of course this person decided not to included that part. But that is ok we have more clips to come.

What is the inherit problem, well Rush did say it was the whole transcript, however he did edit out about 95 seconds of audio. Wait, uh, why did he do that? Was he covering his own rear, yes he must have said something else that was incriminating, there must be so much bad stuff in the 95 secs he couldn't let anyone here it again. Right? Well one lefty thinks so and posted this video.

Well thanks for posting the extra 95 seconds, but, uh, what was so incriminating there? What did he do except basically ignore Mike's comments on WMDs? After letting Mike go, he talked about Jesse MacBeth, conveniently edited out of the last video, but you heard it on the second one. Jesse was the phony soldiers he was specifically speaking of. BUT WAIT THERES MORE. Rush said SOLDIER"S", with an "S", plural. So obviously he meant any and all soldiers that disagree with the war. Well of course. Cause that is what they want you to think. So they take on whatever belief they want to his comments and presto. The smear has begun.

The thing that cracks me up the most is: If that is what Rush really believes, that he thinks any and all military that disagree with the war is a phony solider, than why is that not a common theme with him? Did anyone ask him if that is what he really believes? Does anyone else have any audio proving these are common statements form Rush? Wouldn't you think you need more than a single statement that is easily shown to be taken out of context? Why not follow through with this statement? Rush makes some outlandish comments, and he backs them up. He never hides from them. Yet he specifically never continues with the idea that all soldiers that disagree with the war are phony. Because that is not what he was saying. Plain and simple.

Those that continue to believe that Rush was calling all anti-war soldiers phony are sheep. They believe whatever the left feeds them. They put their trust in the left hacks, and do not think for themselves. I have no doubt that the left can have fine arguments that can be of real substance. This one is not it. Frankly, it is embarrassing. I would be ashamed to be a part of the left with this kind of sorry story taking place and trying to make this phony argument for them.

Fred Thompson said nothing of the sort, as a matter of fact he has said and been quoted on the very fact they said he didn't know. When some claim that President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following:

a. FDR led us into World War II.

b. Germany never attacked us; Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost .. an average of 112,500 per year.

c. Truman finished that war and started one in Korea. North Korea never attacked us .. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost .. an average of 18,334 per year.

d. John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us

e. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost .. an average of 5,800 per year.

f. Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.
Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

g. In the years since terrorists attacked us , President Bush
has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled
al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya , Iran , and, North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who
slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking.
But It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno
to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation.

We've been looking for evidence for chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida !!!!

Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living.

This IS a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of the military.

Senator Metzenbaum (speaking to Senator Glenn):
"How can you run for Senate when you've never held a real job?"

Senator Glenn (D-Ohio):
"I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space program. It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was
not a nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank.

"I ask you to go with me ... as I went the other day... to a veteran's hospital and look those men ... with their mangled bodies in the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job!

"You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and Orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee... and you look those kids in the eye and tell them
that their DADS didn't hold a job.

"You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch those waving flags.

"You stand there, and you think about this nation, and you tell ME that those people didn't have a job?

"What about you?"

For those who don't remember: During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney representing the Communist Party in the USA. who later served for almost 20 years as a Democratic member of the U.S. Senate!

And I support this war! Every one is so scared to say it! Well I will say it. And more candidates need to say it, and more Senators need to say it and start standing behind our President and stop worry about the poles. The poles react to YOU! When you stand strong, Senators and Representatives of the United States, and you stop worrying about if you will be smeared on the next political talk show, you actually show some back bone an stand up to these BULLIES on the left, you may actually rally people to your side. I am so sick of these wimps like Ron Paul! Ron Paul is weak, and we will be weak if he, God forbid, were ever elected President.

So much is put into how long this war is taking, and how many lives it has lost. And I will say this right now to be perfectly clear. Nothing pains me more than hearing that our fighting soldiers have been lost in combat, and nothing make me prouder. While the left dismisses their deaths as if George Bush murdered them himself, I see them as courages men fighting for their beliefs, for their country, and for their freedom, for themselves, for their families, and for millions of others throughout the world as well as America. But still today we hear these figures about how long it is taking and how many lives have been lost, and such a negative light put on it, but truly we have lost so few! Our military power is so strong, and our guys so well trained, that we have actually lost fewer men in this way than in almost every single other war in our history. As a total, of all servicemen lost in every war, this war has taken less than 1%. That is not even close to the 32% we lost in World War 2.

There is no comparison. To make some claim that this is anything like World War 2 is ridiculous, nothing about it is the same. This war will last for years, and many more lives will be lost. But we fight with a purpose. We fight to destroy those that mean to destroy us. We fight those that mean to gain WMDs and use them against us. And oh yeah, Iraq was doing just that. Don't believe those lies that say to the contrary. I will not waver my support for this President, because the media doesn't like him. I will not waver because of the medias politics. I will not waver because the media are wimps. I will support Bush regardless. I am proud to be a part of this country, that isn't scared to fight those that mean to kill us, and do away with our way of life. I am proud to support our fighting troops abroad, who bravely take on our enemy's daily. Thank you gentleman, and may God bless you.
