This is why I don't leave the house on Black Friday

NEW YORK (AP) ― Police say a Wal-Mart worker has died after being trampled by a throng of unruly shoppers shortly after the Long Island store opened Friday.

Nassau County police say the 34-year-old worker was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 6 a.m., an hour after the store opened. Police also say a 28-year-old pregnant woman was taken to a hospital for observation.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc., in Bentonville, Ark., would not confirm the reports of a stampede during the day-after-Thanksgiving bargain hunting, but said a "medical emergency" caused them to close the store.

There are people who like Achievements, and then there are the obsessed.

I think of myself as a bit of an Achievement whore on Xbox 360. That may sound bad, but really it is someone who just wants all the achievements they can get even if it means playing games they don't like. Well I have done my fair share of that. I personally have goals of beating all my friends that I know have Xbox's with all the achievements they have. Which probably is impossible, but if they can get it, so can I.

My current score is just less than 20,000 currently, and my fiends vary but for the most part are less than 10,000 points.

Now take a look at this guy. As far as I can tell, he is the man with the most Achievements on Xbox Live. (Legitimately) at 264,000 Points, this man is a machine. His goal is to hit 1 million points. And he appears to be on a path to do that. He has been playing since the Xbox 360 Launch and plays and gains the points consistently.

Sounds like fun, but I do have a wife and kids, I think I need to work on 1 million points with them.

Letter From A Business Executive

Author unknown

Fellow Business Executives:

As the CFO of a business that employees 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama will be our next President, and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Clients will have to see an increase in our fees to them of about 8% but since we cannot increase our fees right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead. This has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who will have to go.

So, this is what I did. I strolled thru our parking lot, found 8 Obama bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them.

If you have a better idea, let me know.

In my opinion is this is the right way to handle this situation.
